
Ohisa Calls for Teamwork at Central Bank/PHOTO CREDITS: BoSS Portal
(JUBA) – The Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, Johnny Ohisa Damian, on Monday pledged to strengthen staff welfare and improve the quality of banking services, saying he will build on progress made by the previous leadership.
Speaking during a reception at the Bank of South Sudan headquarters in Juba, Ohisa praised staff for their cooperation and called for continued teamwork to address challenges facing the financial sector.
He said improving efficiency and service delivery across the banking system will be a key focus of his administration, as the central bank works to support financial stability and public confidence.
First Deputy Governor for Policy and Banking Samuel Yanga Mikaya said the bank has developed strategies to improve financial services. He added that the Bank of South Sudan will work closely with the Ministry of Finance to support economic growth.
Second Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance Rita Nyankiir Akoon congratulated the governor and said staff are ready to support the new leadership in carrying out its responsibilities.
Mario Konyen Joseph Nakuwa, representing the Staff Trade Workers Union, also congratulated Ohisa and expressed confidence in his leadership, citing his technical experience and outlook for cooperation.
The reception was attended by members of the Board of Directors, directors general and staff of the Bank of South Sudan, according to the bank.
