Juba Load Rationing Extended to 7 March

(JUBA CITY, CENTRAL EQUATORIA STATE) – Juba Electric Distribution Company (JEDCO) has extended its load rationing period until 7 March 2026 due to ongoing maintenance works at the power plant.

In a public notice, the company said the extension follows continued technical works aimed at improving generation and supply stability in Juba. The revised schedule outlines the affected feeders, areas and outage times.

According to the updated maintenance power interruption schedule, supply will continue to be rotated among feeders A, D and E, feeders B and F, and feeder C on different dates. The affected areas include parts of Juba Town, Hai Cinema, Juba Stadium Road, Konyo Konyo, Gumbo Kadra, Gumbo Shirkat, Hai Amarat, Airport Road, Kololo, Mauna, Hai Kuwait, Dar es Salaam, Hai Malakia and Suk Sitta.

Other areas listed in the schedule include Hai Jalaba, Hai Tijaria, Hai Mobil, Ministries, Hai Buluk, Hai Gonya, Customs, parts of Nyakuron, Rock City, Jebel, Khor William, Suk Kuma, Suk Mamu, Nimra Talata, Atlabara, Kator, Rujal Mafi Giada, Jebel Market, Jaborona, Hai Thoura, Lologo and Kassaba. Parts of Munuki, Mia Saba, Gudelle, Gure, Joppa, Hai Yaba, Hai Eden, Mangateen, Bilpam Road, Referendum and Mauna are also affected on designated days.

Under the current arrangement, electricity supply in the listed areas is scheduled from 5.00 pm to 12.00 am on the specified dates, with outages during other hours as part of the rationing plan.

JEDCO apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and cooperation. The company said it remains committed to improving power supply services in South Sudan’s capital as maintenance works continue.
