(JUBA CITY) – Residents across several parts of Juba will face a planned electricity interruption on Saturday morning as engineers connect a new transformer on Feeder F.
The outage is scheduled from 08:00 to 09:30, lasting about one and a half hours, according to Juba Electric Distribution Company, JEDCO. The work is aimed at improving supply reliability near the Quality Hotel area.
Areas set to be affected include Hai Cinema, Hai Mobil, parts of Hai Malakal, Nimratalata, Atlabara, Hai Thoura, Nyakuron East and West, Suk Sitta, Giada, Jebel Market, Jaborona and parts of Khor William.
JEDCO said the shutdown is necessary to allow safe installation of the new transformer. The company added that its technical team will work to complete the task within the planned time.
Customers have been advised to prepare for the temporary disruption. JEDCO apologised for the inconvenience and said residents can contact its toll free line on 319 for further information.
