Police Station Construction Launched in Mangalla Payam

(JUBA COUNTY) – Construction of a new police station has begun in Mogiri Boma in Mangalla Payam, Juba County, in a move aimed at improving security and strengthening law enforcement services in the area.

The police station will include four rooms with offices and separate holding cells for men, women and teenagers. Authorities say the facility will help improve police presence, support crime prevention and provide better services to the growing community in Mangalla Payam.

Local officials say the construction work is expected to be completed within two months.

The launch ceremony brought together county officials, police representatives, community leaders and residents of the area. The project is part of broader efforts by local authorities to improve security infrastructure and maintain public order in communities around Juba.

Officials said the new station will help police respond more quickly to incidents and support peaceful relations among residents.

Community leaders in Mangalla Payam described the project as an important step for local development. They said the presence of a police station in Mogiri Boma will help improve safety and strengthen trust between residents and law enforcement authorities.

Representatives from development partners also attended the ceremony and expressed support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security and sustainable development in communities across Juba County.

Later during the event, Juba County Commissioner Emmanuel Tete Ezbon called on residents to cooperate with authorities and respect the rule of law to maintain stability in the area.

The Chairperson of the Juba County Legislative Council, Dr Daniel Jada Marcello, welcomed the project and praised cooperation between county leaders, development partners and the local community.

Police officials also said the new facility will improve law enforcement operations and help prevent crime in Mangalla Payam and nearby areas.

Authorities say the construction of Mogiri Boma Police Station reflects ongoing efforts by the county government to strengthen security services and promote peace and stability in Juba County and across Central Equatoria State.
