(JUBA) – The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in South Sudan has officially announced that applications for the 2026/2027 Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) are now open. This initiative offers South Sudanese high school graduates and university students an opportunity to study in China.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the official website at http://www.campuschina.org to access detailed information and complete their online applications. The official “Agency Number” for South Sudanese applicants is 7371.
After submitting the online application, candidates must also send a hard copy of the full application package (not the original documents) to the Chinese Embassy on Independence Road, Juba. The deadline for submission is 31 January 2026.
The scholarship programme covers undergraduate and postgraduate studies and aims to strengthen educational ties between China and South Sudan while providing students with international exposure and advanced academic training.
Applicants seeking a bachelor’s degree are required to register for and take the CSCA (Chinese University Student Admission Test). The test dates are set for 21 December 2025 and 25 January 2026. Students must obtain a valid score report before submitting their scholarship application. It is advised that applicants contact their target institutions in China to confirm the required test subjects for their intended major. All applicants must also provide a pre-admission document issued by the Chinese university they wish to attend. Acceptable pre-admission documents include a pre-admission notice from the university’s international students’ department or an invitation letter from the relevant faculty or professor.
