South Sudanese Youth Invited to Apply for China Scholarships

(JUBA) – The Chinese Embassy in South Sudan has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 and 2027 Youth of Excellence Scheme of China, a scholarship programme offered by the Chinese Government for international students seeking to study for a master’s degree.

The scheme, administered by the China Scholarship Council, aims to train young professionals with strong academic ability, leadership potential, and a broad understanding of global issues. The embassy said the programme is designed to help develop future leaders with international experience and a multicultural outlook.

Applicants are required to complete an online application through the Chinese Government Scholarship System before 23:59 on 31 March 2026, Beijing time. They must also secure a pre admission letter from one of the participating universities or sub programmes before submitting their application. When applying online, candidates are advised to select Type A under the scholarship category and use agency code 1563. They will then need to choose the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China from the list provided.

The embassy said full details, including eligibility and application guidance, are available through an online link shared in the announcement. It also provided an email address for applicants to ask further questions about the process.

The scholarship remains one of the major education opportunities offered to young people in South Sudan and other countries through China’s cooperation and training programmes.
