(YEI RIVER COUNTY)- At least twenty civil society representatives from various organizations are undergoing a two-day training on conflict-sensitive programming and interventions in Yei River County.
The training is organized and facilitated by the Centre for Inclusive Governance, Peace and Justice–South Sudan, with financial support from the Conflict Sensitivity Resource Facility.
Modi Arkangelo, a Program Officer and trainer at the Centre for Inclusive Governance, Peace and Justice, told Access Radio that the training aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to better understand the operational context.
“This will help them understand conflict dynamics and implement their activities in a peaceful way without fueling conflict within local communities. We have targeted 20 civil society members. The training starts today and ends tomorrow. It is important and highly applicable to their work.”
