
(Yei) – Youth leaders drown from various associations underwent a four day organizational leadership and management capacity building in Yei town.
The training aimed at equipping youth leaders on leadership, advocacy, confidence building, and organization management.
The training was organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Reconciliation Stabilization Resilient Trust Fund (RSRTF) consortium.
Speaking at the opening session, Yei county commissioner Emmanuel Taban Seme, emphasized the importance of training youth on leadership and organizational management, stating, “I am confident that such training can equip young people with the tools to become active, engaged citizens and future leaders, contributing to a more prosperous and cohesive community.”
Gaga Frank, Chairperson for Yei River County Youth Association, highlighted the purpose of the workshop, saying, “The training will guide and inspire the participants and their teams on how to manage conflicts.”
Mr. Slash Moses, Project Officer for Finn Church Aid Organization and lead Consortium Partner, explained that the organization management training will teach youth leaders how to plan, organize, and manage their respective youth associations effectively.
The workshop brings together potential young people, including executives of the Yei River County Youth Association, faith-based groups, and representatives from persons with disabilities.
