(KAJO-KEJI COUNTY) The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County, Hon. Wani Jackson Mule, has officially signed a landmark policy document aimed at strengthening and revitalizing the education system across the county.
The document, recently approved by the County Executive Council, outlines a comprehensive framework designed to improve access to quality education, enhance learning environments, and provide sustained support to teachers and students throughout the county.
The signing ceremony, held at the County Headquarters, marks a significant milestone in the county’s continued commitment to advancing education as a cornerstone of development and community empowerment.
Speaking during the ceremony, Commissioner Hon. Wani Jackson Mule emphasized the transformative role of education in shaping the county’s future.
“Education is the foundation upon which we build our communities and secure the future of our children. This policy reflects our collective commitment to ensuring that every child in Kajo-Keji has access to quality and inclusive education,” he stated.
The newly approved policy focuses on several strategic priorities:
Rehabilitation and construction of school infrastructure to create safe and conducive learning environments.
Recruitment and capacity building of qualified teachers to enhance instructional quality.
Provision of learning materials and scholastic supplies to support effective teaching and learning.
Promotion of girl-child education and inclusive learning, ensuring equal opportunities for all learners.
Strengthening partnerships with development partners and community stakeholders to support sustainable education reforms.
Members of the County Executive Council expressed confidence that effective implementation of the policy will result in improved academic performance, increased school enrollment, and reduced dropout rates across the county.
The Commissioner called on parents, community leaders, civil society organizations, and development partners to actively collaborate with the county government to ensure successful implementation.
“This is not just a government initiative; it is a community responsibility. Together, we can transform our education system and unlock the potential of our young people,” he added.
The County Department of Education is expected to release a detailed implementation plan in the coming weeks, outlining timelines, budget allocations, and monitoring mechanisms to track progress.
The signing of this landmark policy underscores the County Government’s dedication to fostering sustainable development through strategic investment in human capital and educational excellence.
