(JUBA) – South Sudan has taken a major step toward digital government with the launch of the National Communication Authority (NCA) e-Services Platform. The initiative aims to modernise regulatory services, making licensing, payments, and other processes faster, more transparent, and accessible online.
The platform was officially launched on Wednesday under the theme “Digital Transformation for Transparency and Accountability.”
Senior officials, including the Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services, Ateny Wek Ateny, and the SSRA Commissioner General, Hon. William Anyuon Kuol, attended the ceremony.
Hon. Kuol said the e-Services platform aligns with the SSRA’s commitment to digital systems that enhance revenue collection, improve compliance, and strengthen collaboration across government agencies:
In replacing manual procedures with automated, secure workflows, the platform is expected to raise service standards nationwide, build confidence among users, and support the growth of South Sudan’s digital economy. Stakeholders can now access essential government services online, reducing delays and improving transparency.
The Revenue Chief added that the launch of the e-Services platform signals a broader push by South Sudan to integrate technology into public service delivery, ensuring citizens and businesses benefit from faster, more efficient, and accountable systems.
