(KAJO-KEJI COUNTY) -The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County has held a strategic meeting with the Security Advisor of World University Service Canada (WUSC) to discuss the implementation of a new education program aimed at improving access to quality learning across the county.
The meeting, held at the county headquarters, focused on strengthening collaboration between local authorities and WUSC to ensure the safe and effective rollout of education initiatives, particularly in communities affected by years of conflict and limited resources. Discussions emphasized the importance of security coordination, community engagement, and institutional support in creating a conducive learning environment for both students and teachers.
The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County, Hon. Wani Jackson Mule, welcomed WUSC’s commitment to supporting education in the county, noting that education remains a key pillar for peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and long-term development.
He assured the organization of the county administration’s full cooperation in facilitating program activities and ensuring the safety of staff, learners, and education facilities.
The WUSC Security Advisor, Mr. Lawrence Bailt, highlighted the organization’s approach to integrating security assessments into education programming, stressing the need for close collaboration with local leaders and communities.
He reaffirmed WUSC’s dedication to working with county authorities to address potential risks and to support sustainable education interventions that respond to local needs.
The proposed education program is expected to focus on improving learning opportunities for young people, strengthening institutional capacity, and supporting inclusive access to education.
Both parties agreed to continue consultations and technical planning ahead of the program’s implementation.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing education as a foundation for stability and development in Kajo-Keji County.
