(JUBA/LAINYA) – The Caretaker Commissioner of Lainya County, Hon. Laku Micah Wani, has secured an assortment of medicines for Lainya County Referral Hospital following a courtesy visit to the Caretaker Minister of Health for Central Equatoria State, Hon. Rina Dongo Vincent, at the State Secretariat in Juba.
The quantity and value of the medicines were not disclosed.
The Commissioner congratulated Hon. Rina Dongo on her recent swearing-in as State Caretaker Minister of Health.
During the visit, Hon. Laku Micah Wani briefed the Minister on the critical health situation and the acute shortage of medicines at Lainya County Referral Hospital.
In response, Hon. Rina Dongo Vincent provided an assortment of medicines to support the hospital.
Hon. Laku Micah Wani, on behalf of the people of Lainya County, expressed his sincere appreciation to Hon. Rina Dongo Vincent for the timely intervention, stating that the medicines will help alleviate the suffering of patients in the county.
The Commissioner pledged to continue engaging with relevant ministries and partners to improve service delivery in Lainya County.
Separately, the Kenyi Community paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Laku Micah Wani at his residence in Juba to congratulate him on his recent appointment.
The community delegation expressed its full support and confidence in his leadership to bring peace, unity and development to Lainya County.
In his remarks, Hon. Laku Micah Wani thanked the Kenyi Community leadership for their visit and kind gesture.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serve all people of Lainya County without discrimination and called for unity among all communities in Lainya for sustainable peace and development.
The Kenyi Community leadership pledged to stand with the Commissioner in his efforts to restore stability and improve service delivery in the county.
