(JUBA) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State has called on newly appointed ministers to prioritize teamwork and professionalism over political affiliations.
Speaking during an ordinary Council of Ministers meeting in Juba on Thursday, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony congratulated the newly appointed cabinet members and urged them to adhere strictly to the ministerial code of conduct.
The Governor emphasized the need for unity, stressing that effective service delivery depends on cooperation, collegiality, and commitment to public service rather than political or tribal interests.
He also directed the Minister of Cabinet Affairs to provide clear guidance on official communication and strengthen coordination between government institutions to ensure smooth operations.
Governor Adil further thanked the outgoing ministers for their service and challenged the new cabinet to be innovative and responsive to the growing demands of the public.
During the meeting, the Minister of Information and Communication presented a memo on the revival of the electronic government system. The initiative aims to digitalize government institutions in order to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
The cabinet deliberated on the proposal and passed the memo with amendments.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the state government to improve service delivery, while assuring the public that the security situation remains calm despite a few minor incidents being handled by security forces.
