(JUBA) – The Office of the Governor in Central Equatoria State has said an official update on the expected swearing in of the new state governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, will be released later today once final confirmation is received from the presidency.
In a brief message issued on Tuesday, Press Secretary Designate Derick Derickson said the state administration is still waiting for clear guidance from national authorities before announcing the exact time for the ceremony.
He called on citizens to remain prepared for the planned reception at the State Government Secretariat in Juba. The statement assured the public that further details will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.
Mr Derickson thanked residents for their patience and said the administration is committed to keeping people informed about the development. He also expressed hope for continued calm in the state.
