(TEREKEKA, CENTRAL EQUATORIA STATE) – Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has praised a high level security committee for restoring calm in Terekeka County after deadly inter clan clashes last week.
The committee, led by Deputy Governor Paulino Lukudu Obede, briefed the Governor in Juba on efforts taken to stabilise the area following violence between the Kogi and Yari communities. In a directive issued after the briefing, the Governor ordered security forces to continue arresting suspected criminals linked to the conflict so they can be brought before the courts. He said those responsible must face the law and that justice would be pursued for the affected families.
The state government said it remains committed to accountability and stability in Terekeka County, as authorities work to prevent further inter communal violence and strengthen security coordination on the ground.
