
Juba County Land Governance Progress Acknowledged by Officials
(JUBA COUNTY) – Land registration reforms and peacebuilding efforts in Juba County received a boost on Friday as senior government leaders paid an administrative visit to the Commissioner’s office.
The First Deputy Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly, Ambrose Lomin Pitia, led the delegation. He was joined by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Peacebuilding, Philip Pia, and the Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Paulino Lukudu Obede.
The visiting leaders commended Commissioner Samuel Emiliano Wani Pitia for what they described as exemplary leadership. They noted his commitment to the ongoing digitalisation of land registration and management in Juba County.
The delegation offered moral support and encouragement to the Commissioner in his role as administrator of the county that hosts both the national and state capitals.
Discussions also covered the movement of cattle herders, peacebuilding initiatives, and efforts to strengthen security, stability, and effective service delivery within the county.
The delegation acknowledged the Commissioner’s progress made in advancing land governance reforms and promoting peaceful coexistence among communities in Juba County.
In his response, Commissioner Samuel Emiliano Wani Pitia thanked the visiting leaders for their administrative visit, moral support, and continued confidence in the work of the Juba County administration.
