(JUBA COUNTY, CENTRAL EQUATORIA STATE) – The leadership of Nyuwa Boma in Lado Payam has officially dismissed claims made by a group calling itself G12, which alleged that a land demarcation exercise had been proclaimed in the area.
Briefing the County Leadership, the Executive Chief of Nyuwa Boma, Chief Peter Lado Tongun, denied that any authorised demarcation had taken place. He described the claims as false, misleading, and lacking recognition from legitimate traditional or administrative authorities.
The Chairperson of Nyuwa Boma, Mr. Musa Adolfo Wani, added that the rumours were baseless and likely driven by conflicting personal interests. He clarified that no proclamation or resolution regarding land demarcation had been approved by the Boma leadership.
County officials welcomed the clarification and expressed their readiness to hear from the G12 group in order to resolve the matter amicably. They also called on the public to remain calm, avoid spreading misinformation, and rely on official channels for verified information.
In a press release from the office of the County Commissioner, authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace, unity and lawful administrative procedures throughout Lado Payam.
