Rehabilitation of Wuluturu Bridge Nears Completion in Yei

(YEI RIVER COUNTY) -The Director of Physical Infrastructure in Yei River County says rehabilitation works on the Wuluturu Bridge is  nearing completion, with about 80 percent of the construction already finalized.

Richard Lugala Godo said efforts are underway to mobilize and deploy additional resources needed to complete the remaining work on the bridge.

“I want to tell the people of Yei that the completion of Wuluturu Bridge is near and some people have already started accessing it. At the moment, we are coordinating the deployment of marrum soil and hardcore stones, and once we get some funds, we shall finish it and move to the construction of the New Site bridge. This is what I want the people need to know,” Lugala said.

He appealed to residents to cooperate with the local government and support community development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure in the county.

“My message to our people is that let us join hands in development initiatives because bridges are very important for all of us. Some of these initiatives do not require financial support alone; we can also contribute through labor and local resources for our own development,” he added.

Residents in Yei have repeatedly called on the local government to prioritize infrastructure development and improve service delivery across Yei River County.
