(JUBA) – The Caretaker Governor of Central Equatoria State, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, has appointed caretaker county commissioners for the state’s six counties and named a new caretaker leadership team for Juba City Council.
The appointments, announced on Thursday, are aimed at filling key county and municipal leadership positions across Central Equatoria State.
Under the gubernatorial order, Kalisto Lado Faustino Nyigilo was appointed Caretaker Commissioner of Juba County, while Emmanuel Taban Seme was named Caretaker Commissioner for Yei River County.
Other appointees include Charles Laku Losio Yensuk for Kajo-Keji County, Abraham Kenyi John Pulo for Terekeka County, Loku Micah Wani Lungaju for Lainya County, and Isaac Moro Johnson Lupai for Morobo County.
In a separate appointment, Governor Jadalla designated Christopher Serafino Wani Swaka as the Caretaker Mayor of Juba City Council.
The Governor also appointed Jacob Acheck Loi as Caretaker Deputy Mayor for Administration and Finance, Stephen Lomude Martin Jamba as Caretaker Deputy Mayor for Environment and Waste Management, and Wol Mathok Diing Wol as Caretaker Deputy Mayor for Social Services and Infrastructure.
According to the appointment orders, all officials assume their duties with immediate effect from 1 October 2026, following the Governor’s signature.
The appointments mark a significant reshuffle in local government administration as the state seeks to strengthen leadership structures at both county and city levels.
