(JUBA) – The leadership of the Central Equatoria State Revitalized Transitional Legislative Assembly (CESRTLA) has announced that parliamentary sittings are expected to resume on 11 February 2026.
The decision follows a consultative meeting between the Assembly leadership and Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, aimed at fast-tracking the state’s legislative business after an extended recess.
Lawmakers are scheduled to return to the August House to address the state’s legislative agenda for the 2026 session. The reopening marks a key step in Central Equatoria’s political roadmap.
In related news, Governor Adil and United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) leadership held discussions on strengthening coordination to improve humanitarian and development activities across the state.
