(JUBA) – Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has officially taken up his duties at the State Government Secretariat in Juba, marking the beginning of a new phase of leadership in Central Equatoria State.
The Governor was received by senior government officials led by Deputy Governor Paulino Lukudu Obede. Advisors, cabinet ministers and staff of the Secretariat General were also present to welcome him as he assumed office.
Officials at the event described the ceremony as significant for the state’s direction. The reception brought together key figures in the administration.
Governor Adil’s assumption of responsibility was accompanied by a pledge to strengthen stability, peace and unity across Central Equatoria. He also emphasised the importance of improving service delivery as part of the priorities he intends to pursue while in office.
According to the state press unit CESGPU, the new leadership is expected to work closely with public institutions to address ongoing challenges and to guide the state through what officials hope will be a more stable and productive period for citizens.
