
Governor and UNMISS Offcials
(JUBA CITY )- Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has on Tuesday held talks with the UNMISS Chief, Anita Kiki Gbeho, on strengthening peace and preparing for upcoming elections.
During the meeting, Governor Adil welcomed the UNMISS Chief and emphasized the need for continued collaboration to promote stability, which he said is key for the return of refugees.
He also praised UNMISS for supporting development projects, including the rehabilitation of the Juba–Rokon–Mundri road.
For her part, the UNMISS Chief reaffirmed the mission’s commitment to supporting free, fair, and credible elections, as well as improving service delivery through its projects.
The two leaders also discussed joint efforts on Ebola preparedness and agreed to strengthen cooperation in promoting peace and stability across the state.
