
JEDCO Opens Tender for Transformer Supply in Juba
(JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN) – Juba Electricity Distribution Company Limited invited sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of 33/0.433kV distribution transformers as part of efforts to support electricity distribution in the capital.
The company said bidders must submit a bid security equivalent to two percent of the tendered amount together with their proposals. Submitted bids will remain valid for 90 days after the opening date.
According to the notice, bid documents must be clearly addressed to JEDCO headquarters in Juba, specifically to Mr Wasua Geoffrey Mulli. The office is located near Mauna Clinic in the Mauna area. Bids may also be submitted electronically through the company’s official tender email addresses.
The deadline for submission is March 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time. Bid opening is scheduled for April 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time.
JEDCO stated that all submissions must strictly follow the instructions outlined in the bidding documents. The company added that it reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in whole or in part without giving reasons.
The procurement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen electricity distribution infrastructure in Juba and improve reliability of supply, according to the utility company.
