
Energy Firm Invites Prepaid Meter Proposals in Juba
(JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN) – Juba Electricity Distribution Company Limited, known as JEDCO, has issued a formal invitation for sealed bids from eligible providers for the procurement of smart prepaid energy meters.
This infrastructure project, identified under procurement number JEDCO-SEM-001/2026, aims to modernise the power distribution network within the capital city.
To participate in the tender process, interested parties are required to submit a bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the total tendered amount.
The utility firm has specified that all submitted bids must remain valid for a period of 90 days following the formal opening of the tenders.
Physical submissions must be directed to the attention of Mr Wasua Geoffrey Mulli at the JEDCO headquarters, situated in the Mauna area of Juba.
Alternatively, the company has established an electronic tender box for digital submissions via official corporate email channels.
The firm deadline for the submission of all bids is set for 10:00 AM local time on 31st March 2026, with the public bid opening scheduled to take place the following afternoon at 3:00 PM.
While JEDCO seeks to enhance its service delivery through this procurement, the company maintains the legal right to reject any or all bids at its discretion without further explanation.
