Job Summary
SNV is looking for three local drivers to be based in Juba, Torit, and Yambio. The drivers will support SNV’s work by safely transporting staff, goods, and materials to different locations. Each driver will be responsible for the care and proper use of the vehicle assigned to them.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Driving and Transportation: Drive staff and deliver items as needed, while strictly following traffic rules and safety procedures. Ensure passengers and goods arrive safely and on time.

Vehicle Care and Cleanliness: Keep the assigned vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition at all times.

Routine Maintenance: Check oil, tire pressure, and other key parts regularly. Report problems and work with supervisors to handle repairs.

Record Keeping: Fill out logbooks for every trip, track fuel usage, and report any incidents or accidents.

Logistical Support: Assist with small tasks such as loading and unloading goods or supporting the office with logistics when requested.

Safety and Security: Keep the vehicle’s radio in good condition and maintain regular communication with the base when traveling. Follow security rules and help gather road security information when needed.
Requirements

A valid driver’s license with all required classes.

At least 3 years of driving experience with an NGO or similar organization.

Minimum of a secondary school education.

A certificate in auto mechanics is required.

Ability to do basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.

Good communication skills (spoken and written).

Language: Fluent in English and South Sudanese Arabic.

Good personal qualities: trustworthy, responsible, able to work in a team, and comfortable working under pressure in a multicultural environment.
