(JUBA) – The Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) has launched a three day training programme aimed at strengthening the digital skills of its regional branch staff. The training which began on 17 July 2025 in Juba is part of the bank’s broader strategy to improve internal systems through the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology.
Staff members from BoSS offices in Wau, Yei, Nimule, Aweil and Rumbek are participating in the workshop. The goal is to prepare them for the full implementation of ERP systems across all branches of the central bank. ERP systems are integrated tools that streamline various business functions such as procurement, finance, human resources and logistics.
The training is being led by Mr. Tanmay Kulshrestha, a SAP Project Manager, who specialises in ERP applications. He guided participants through core modules of the system, focusing on how the technology can improve accuracy in data reporting, simplify procurement processes, and support better decision-making.
ERP tools are expected to enhance transparency and operational efficiency across BoSS operations. This is in line with the bank’s efforts to modernise its systems and align with international best practices in central banking.
The Bank of South Sudan aims to decentralise knowledge and improve performance beyond its headquarters in Juba by building capacity in regional branches.
According to a statement on the bank website, “the training reflects the institution’s commitment to investing in human capital as part of its long term reform and governance strategy.”
BoSS officials have indicated that more training and system rollouts are planned, with a goal of establishing digital consistency across its operations by 2027.
