Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is seeking an experienced Country Access and Security Manager to lead on safety, security, and humanitarian access across its South Sudan operations. The role will provide technical advice, strengthen staff security awareness, and ensure programmes continue effectively in challenging contexts.

Since 1992, PAH has supported vulnerable communities affected by conflict and disasters in more than 50 countries. PAH has operated in South Sudan since 2006, delivering projects in WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter, Protection, and Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement humanitarian access and security strategies for Juba and field locations.

• Oversee contingency planning, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.

• Ensure compliance with PAH’s security management framework.

• Provide staff training on security, safety, and crisis protocols.

• Coordinate with NGO security networks, local authorities, and UN agencies.

• Mentor field Security Focal Points and support fleet and logistics safety measures.

Qualifications

• BA or Master’s in Security, International Relations, or relevant field.

• Minimum 5 years’ INGO security management experience.

• Strong interpersonal, team management, and training skills.

• Excellent English (C1 level); knowledge of local languages an advantage.

• Willingness to travel within South Sudan.
