(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The Center for Democracy and Development (CEDED), a national non-governmental organization, has completed a major rehabilitation of its Community Resource Center in Yei town.
The upgraded facility is expected to improve civic space by providing access to educational and engagement opportunities for the community, particularly students. The center includes a library and serves as a venue for civic dialogues and community discussions.
In a brief statement posted on its official Facebook page on Thursday, CEDED announced the reopening, stating:
“Your Community Resource Center in Yei, South Sudan. We are set to serve you better.”
CEDED operates as a non-profit civil society organization focused on peacebuilding, good governance, human rights advocacy, and civic empowerment across South Sudan.
The rehabilitation of the resource center comes as part of ongoing efforts to promote civic participation and provide safe spaces for learning and dialogue within the community.
