Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF-OCBA) is seeking a qualified Medical Internist to provide inpatient and outpatient care in Malakal, South Sudan. This role is part of MSF’s commitment to delivering quality medical services in line with MSF protocols, universal hygiene standards, and ethical practices.
Main Responsibilities:

Conduct consultations and manage both inpatient and outpatient cases, prescribing treatments according to MSF guidelines.

Monitor the progress of hospitalised patients through daily visits, examinations, and discharge planning.

Supervise the rational use of medicines and ensure compliance with hygiene and infection prevention standards.

Train and mentor national staff, including clinical officers and medical doctors, particularly in the management of common non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, and epilepsy.

Collaborate with mental health teams and support holistic and palliative care approaches.

Participate in epidemiological data collection and analysis.

Manage a small team, including scheduling, supervision, and participation in emergencies.
Requirements:

Medical Doctor with a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine (essential).

At least 2 years of clinical experience (experience in tropical medicine, infectious diseases, TB or HIV care is an advantage).

English fluency required; French desirable.

Good computer skills (Word, Excel).

Strong skills in teamwork, flexibility, people management, and commitment to MSF values.
