(JUBA) – The Office of the Governor of Central Equatoria State has condemned the circulation of a false document on Facebook by the page “Sixty 4 Tribes Press,” calling it a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and sow division among communities.
The governor’s office clarified that the document is recycled propaganda first published and dismissed in January 2023. Communities mentioned in the document had previously rejected it, describing it as a political tool used by self-interested groups to undermine unity.
The office called on media houses and social media users to uphold professional standards of journalism by verifying documents with relevant state authorities before publication.
Derick Derickson, official spokesperson for the governor, reiterated that the Office of the Governor remains committed to transparency and providing credible information to the public and media.
