
New Officials Named in Central Equatoria Government/PHOTO CREDITS: CESGPU
(JUBA) – Authorities in Central Equatoria State have announced changes in several government institutions and structures within the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement party.
The changes include the removal and appointment of officials in key state agencies, as well as new party leadership positions. The measures took effect immediately following the issuing of gubernatorial decrees.
Several officials were relieved of their duties. They include Moses Idoru Nyama, Commissioner General of the State Revenue Authority, and Peter Dumo Emmanuel Baya, Deputy Commissioner General of the same authority. Juma Stephen Lugga was also removed as Commissioner General of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, while Captain Godfrey Data Rembe Guya was relieved of his role as Coordinator for Security Affairs in Kajo Keji County.
New appointments were also announced in the state government and party structures. Franco Mogga Wani was appointed Commissioner General of the State Revenue Authority, with Flora Gabriel Modi named as Deputy Commissioner General.
Emmanuel Juma Diyo was appointed Commissioner General of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority. Bosco Taban Samuel and Louis Laku Gabriel were appointed as members of the authority.
In the counties, Zachariah Legge Bero was appointed Coordinator for Security Affairs in Terekeka County, while Robert Sebit Tobia was appointed Coordinator for Security Affairs in Lainya County.
Changes were also made within the ruling party structures in Central Equatoria State. Christopher Serafino Wani Swaka was appointed Chairperson of the SPLM Entrepreneurship League in the state. Jackson Abugo Gama was appointed Chairperson of the SPLM Committee for Party Ethics and Discipline. Michael Lado Allajabu will serve as Secretary of the committee, while Gabriel Lubang Modi was appointed as a member.
In a separate directive, Andrew Taban Duku was reinstated to the state general list of Local Government Administrative Officers under the Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency. The ministry was instructed to adjust his grade in the official records in line with local government regulations.
State authorities expressed appreciation to the outgoing officials for their service and contributions during their time in office and wished the newly appointed officials success in their duties.
Officials said the changes form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen state institutions and improve administration in Central Equatoria State and South Sudan.
