(JUBA COUNTY) – A delegation from the Hajer Sobur Friendship Society, an independent intellectual and professional forum, has pledged its commitment to support Central Equatoria State’s development priorities through technical and academic contributions.
The group made the announcement during a courtesy meeting with the Governor of Central Equatoria, Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, in Juba on Wednesday.
Dr. Edward Bepo, Chairperson of the Society, conveyed the group’s intention to collaborate constructively with the state government. He said the Society is prepared to offer research based advice, innovation and technical expertise in areas aligned with the state’s strategic objectives. Dr. Bepo underlined that Hajer Sobur remains a non political platform with a strong sense of civic responsibility.
“We are ready to offer technical expertise and intellectual resources in support of the government’s vision for sustainable development and institutional transformation,” Dr. Bepo stated, reaffirming the Society’s willingness to contribute to Central Equatoria and South Sudan as a whole.
The Hajer Sobur Friendship Society brings together seasoned professionals, academics and thought leaders from across various disciplines in South Sudan.
