Commissioner General of the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA), Simon Akuei Deng
(JUBA) – The South Sudan Revenue Authority is reminding all businesses and taxpayers that the deadline to file and pay October 2025 taxes is 15 November 2025. The call is made to make sure businesses follow the law and avoid extra charges for late payment.
The notice applies to tax on salaries and wages, rent from houses or offices, payments from government contracts, technical service fees, dividends, royalties and winnings from gaming or lotteries.
It also applies to businesses such as manufacturers, hotels, bars, restaurants, banks, travel agencies and telecommunication companies.
The authority said that anyone with unpaid taxes from previous months should also clear them now. This includes business profit tax and tax paid by people who run small businesses on their own.
The Revenue Authority said payments should be made through the approved commercial banks and records should be updated on the online eTax system.
It also advised every business to make sure they have a Tax Identification Number, known as a TIN. Working without a TIN is illegal and can lead to punishment under the Taxation Act of 2009.
The Commissioner for Domestic Tax Revenue, Chol Paul Kur, said paying tax helps support national development and economic stability. He encouraged everyone to follow the rules and pay taxes on time to support government services in the country.
