(JUBA) – The Central Equatoria Business Union (CEBU), in partnership with the Pan African Alliance of Small and Medium Industries (PAASMI), has hosted a major business networking forum in Juba that has attracted both local and international participants.
The event was held on 27 August 2025 at the Imperial Hotel and brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to strengthen trade links and encourage knowledge exchange.
This year’s Business to Business networking event placed a strong focus on German technology, particularly in household supplies, renewable energy, and sports innovation. BTECH Germany Technology presented its latest products, receiving a positive reception from South Sudanese businesses eager to explore new solutions in sustainable development.
The forum was officially opened by Mr Soso Yaya, Deputy Secretary General of the South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, representing Chairman Hon Luka Loda Liskdad.
Mr Yaya praised CEBU for its leadership in creating stronger trade connections and welcomed the participation of BTECH Germany, highlighting that renewable energy will play a central role in supporting South Sudan’s long term economic growth.
Mr Thomas Muto Lo’Buda, Patron of CEBU and Consultant of the Juba Special Economic Zone, also addressed the forum. He encouraged international investors to consider opportunities within the Special Economic Zone, where land is available for investment.
He explained that the zone is designed to attract investors, create employment opportunities and contribute to South Sudan’s economic transformation.
The Chairman of CEBU, Mr Juma Khamis Juma, who is also CEO of Bros Group of Companies, thanked participants for their involvement. He explained that strong business networks are vital for growth and that CEBU is committed to empowering young entrepreneurs by connecting them to global markets through structured partnerships.
Representing PAASMI, Chief Executive Dr Henry E. Emejuo, stressed that Africa’s development depends on industrialisation. He pledged that PAASMI would continue working with governments, trade organisations, and unions such as CEBU to drive industrial and economic progress.
Sustainability was a major point of discussion during the interactive session. Participants sought assurances on the environmental safety of products being introduced into the South Sudanese market. In response, BTECH representatives, including Chairman Mr Emeka Roy Ezeala and Vice President Mr Andreas, confirmed that their products comply with strict European standards, making them safe and suitable for local and regional use.
The event marked another milestone in CEBU’s efforts to position South Sudan as a competitive destination for trade and investment within Africa and beyond.
