(JUBA) – More than 44,000 (forty four thousand) Senior Four students across South Sudan have started their Certificate of Secondary Education examinations. The tests began this morning and will continue for nine days, marking an important stage for candidates hoping to join higher education.
The Minister of General Education, Kuyok Abol Kuyok, said the examinations play a major role in preparing students for university. He explained that the ministry is working to ensure the exam process runs smoothly and that marking begins as soon as possible after completion.
Minister Kuyok also said Primary Eight results must be released quickly so that pupils can join Senior One without delay. He noted that the start of the school year depends on timely results, which are a major concern for parents, teachers and school administrators.
Primary Eight candidates finished their examinations last Friday, and the ministry is now processing those results.
| Exam Level | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Senior Four | Ongoing | Nine day national examination period |
| Primary Eight | Completed | Results expected soon to enable Senior One enrolment |
The Ministry of General Education says it aims to coordinate with the Ministry of Higher Education to ensure that Senior Four results are ready in time for university admission once marking is completed.
