(MOROBO) – Morobo County authorities have confirmed that 130 primary candidates will sit for the 2025 National Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) within the county, ending earlier uncertainty over possible relocation.
The exams will take place at St. Charles Lwanga Primary School in Morobo Town. All candidates from across the county have been transported to the town in preparation for the national tests.
County Education Director Moses Wani said significant effort was required to ensure pupils could sit their examinations locally. He explained that the national Ministry of Education had initially considered moving the candidates to Yei due to security concerns.
“We worked hard to make sure our children are examined here in Morobo,” Wani said, stressing the importance of keeping candidates close to home.
County Executive Director Gale Ezbon reassured pupils that earlier rumours of relocation had been resolved. He encouraged the candidates to remain focused, noting that the security situation in Morobo County is currently stable.
“You will sit your exams here without unnecessary movement,” Ezbon said, urging students to stay determined as they approach the national assessments.
According to a County Press Unit, the 2025 PLE arrangements in Morobo County are part of broader efforts to ensure safe and accessible education for all students, while reducing disruptions caused by security or logistical challenges.
