
Yei Leaders Monitor National Exams/Handout Photo
(YEI) – The Commissioner of Yei River County, Hon. Emmanuel Taban Seme, visited Kinji Primary School on Friday, November 28, 2025, to inspect Primary Eight candidates as they sat for their national examinations. Senior education officials accompanied him during the visit.
Commissioner Taban encouraged the candidates to stay focused and complete their examination papers carefully. He urged them to “work hard and pass with flying colours,” stressing the importance of concentration and effort during the exams.
During the visit, the commissioner also called on the school administration to continue working closely with government authorities to address challenges affecting the learning environment.
Ezibon Latio Aquila, a school representative, welcomed the commissioner and education officials. He said their presence motivated the candidates as they sat for their mathematics paper and expressed optimism that the support would encourage pupils to perform well in the national examinations.
A representative from the National Examination Council, John Manok, commended the pupils and teachers in Yei River County for maintaining discipline throughout the examination period.
He noted that it was his first time observing a county wide examination session free from cheating, praising the collective efforts of teachers, administrators, and learners.

Authorities also said in a press statement that maintaining integrity and discipline during national examinations is vital to ensure fairness and accurate assessment of learners’ abilities.
According to the Office of the Commissioner, the inspection by senior county leaders was part of efforts to encourage pupils, recognise teachers’ hard work and promote a positive examination culture in Yei River County.
