(JUBA) – Juba City has launched a city wide clean-up campaign aimed at promoting cleaner, greener and safer streets. The initiative encourages citizens, businesses and government agencies to work together to maintain public spaces and reduce littering.
The campaign began in Juba Block and will extend to Kator, Munuki, and Gudele Blocks to reach a wider community.
It includes regular cleaning of residential areas, offices and markets, as well as the creation of designated waste collection points. Dumping of garbage on roadsides is strictly prohibited, and the initiative promotes responsible waste disposal.
City officials emphasised that the clean-up campaign is part of a broader effort to modernise Juba City.
The initiative supports the city’s strategic master plan to improve urban organisation, restructure markets, protect public spaces and enhance security. Public participation is seen as crucial to the long term success and sustainability of the campaign.
