(JUBA COUNTY) – Juba County Commissioner Emmanuel Tete Ezbon has officially opened access roads in Wonglori Residential Area of Tokiman West Boma, Rejaf Payam, in a move aimed at supporting planned settlement and improving service delivery.
Speaking during the launch on Friday, the Commissioner praised the Rejaf Payam administration and the Wonglori community for their cooperation, describing unity as essential for local development.
He said the area was demarcated in 2015 and urged residents to respect established boundaries to avoid future disputes.
The Commissioner warned against internal boundary conflicts, saying they delay development and limit access to basic services such as water, roads, and sanitation.
He also cautioned individuals involved in illegal land demarcation or attempts to disrupt the process, stating that those responsible would be held accountable under the law.
Deputy Director of Rejaf Payam, Abdulwahab Ibrahim, welcomed the initiative and commended the Commissioner’s leadership in improving land management.
He announced that a plot showing exercise will begin after the completion of the road opening, followed by the official handover of plots to their rightful owners.
Local authorities said the road project is expected to encourage investment, reduce land related tensions, and promote orderly settlement in Wonglori and surrounding areas.
They added that improved access will also help service providers reach residents more easily and support long term urban planning in Juba County.
The Office of the Commissioner said it will continue working with community leaders and security agencies to prevent illegal land activities and to ensure that development follows government guidelines.
