(JUBA COUNTY) – The Juba County Commissioner, Hon. Emmanuel Tete Ezbon, has officially launched the opening of roads in Wonglori Residential Area in Tokiman West Boma, Rejaf Payam, in a move aimed at improving settlement planning and public service delivery.
The event, held on Friday, 6 February 2026, marked an important step towards organised development in the area. The new roads are expected to improve access, reduce land related disputes, and support future infrastructure projects.
Speaking at the launch, Commissioner Tete praised the Rejaf Payam administration and the Wonglori community for their cooperation. He said unity and collaboration are essential for development and long term stability in Juba County.
He reminded residents that Wonglori Residential Area was officially demarcated in 2015. He urged the community to respect existing boundaries and follow legal procedures in all land matters.
The Commissioner warned strongly against internal boundary disputes, saying such conflicts delay development and deny communities access to basic services such as roads, water, and health facilities.
He also cautioned individuals involved in illegal land demarcation or activities that undermine the process. He said the county administration will hold those responsible accountable under the law.
Deputy Director of Rejaf Payam, Mr Abdulwahab Ibrahim, welcomed the Commissioner’s leadership and support for local development. He said the showing exercise will begin after the completion of the road opening.
He added that this process will be followed by the official handover of plots to their rightful owners, in line with government records and planning guidelines.
Local leaders said the road opening will help reduce land tensions and improve relations among residents. They noted that better access will encourage investment and service provision in the area.
Residents also expressed hope that the new roads will improve security, ease movement, and attract social and economic activities to Wonglori.
County officials said the project reflects the government’s commitment to orderly settlement and sustainable urban growth in Juba and surrounding areas.
The Juba County administration has called on communities to continue working with authorities to promote peace, respect the law, and support development efforts across Central Equatoria State.
