According to Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Monday Semaya Kumba, President Kiir held a series of high-level bilateral meetings while in Addis Ababa. The discussions focused on strengthening strategic partnerships and enhancing regional cooperation.

Message at the C5 Plus Meeting

During the C5 Plus meeting, President Kiir presented a detailed report on the current political situation in South Sudan. He outlined the government’s ongoing preparations for the general elections scheduled for December this year.

The President firmly stated that there will be no further extension of the transitional period, emphasizing the government’s commitment to allowing the people of South Sudan to elect their leaders through a democratic process.
