(KAJO-KEJI COUNTY) – The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County, Hon Wani Jackson Munk, has issued a public statement in response to a video that has recently gained attention on social media.
The video, recorded on 12 August 2025 and shared on Facebook by a user named Mathew Onen Boss and on TikTok by a user named Onenjok, is described by the Commissioner as containing false, misleading and malicious claims about events that took place in Kajo-Keji County and involving the Lotua family.
The statement clarifies that the visit referred to in the video was organised by the sons and daughters of Kajo-Keji with the intention of promoting peace and unity in the area.
According to the Commissioner, the group also aimed to encourage refugees who are currently outside South Sudan to return home and to recognise the progress achieved by the county administration.
The Commissioner, who personally attended the gathering, insisted that no activity or discussion during the visit reflected the allegations being circulated online.
He said that the individuals involved in the visit had previously participated in peace conferences and had travelled to Kajo-Keji on several occasions in support of peace initiatives.
In the statement, the Commissioner called on the public to ignore the misleading information and described the claims in the video as a deliberate attempt to divide communities and damage the county’s peace efforts.
He stressed that Kajo-Keji County remains committed to truth, transparency and the service of its people, and that the county’s main priority is the stability and unity of its population.
