(JUBA) – The Central Equatoria State Security Committee, led by Deputy Governor Hon. Paulino Lukudu Obede under the delegation of Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has begun a tour of all sectors in Juba.
The visit aims to strengthen coordination among security operatives and familiarise the committee with the structure of each sector as part of the state government’s efforts to improve safety in the city.
During the tour, the committee raised concerns about the rise of criminal gangs in Juba’s suburbs, warning that they pose a growing threat to residents.
Committee members emphasised the need for sector commanders and local communities to work together, share security information and respond quickly to incidents.
The Security Committee reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens across all sectors.
In a related development, the Mugwo Community of Yei River County visited Governor Adil in Juba to convey their congratulations on his appointment as Governor of Central Equatoria State by President Salva Kiir.
The community pledged their support while highlighting the need for improved service delivery and security stabilisation across the state.
Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony thanked the community for their visit and support. He emphasised his commitment to delivering practical services and addressing local challenges at the grassroots level.
The Governor reaffirmed his readiness to work with communities to ensure that issues are addressed systematically and effectively.
