
India Hosts South Sudan Professionals for Skills Training/Photo Credits: Handout
(JUBA) – The Embassy of India in Juba has congratulated four young South Sudanese professionals who will travel to India for advanced training under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.
The selected participants are: Ms. Tabu Victoria Yona Matayo, Mr. Emmanuel John Kisima Naoh, Ms. Nancy Eluzai Manasseh Reme and Mr. Duwa Edward Simon Korsuk.
An official from the Indian Embassy said, “We are proud to welcome these four talented professionals to India. The ITEC Programme is a long standing initiative that helps partner countries build skills and share knowledge.”
The ITEC Programme, established in 1964, is India’s main capacity building programme. It offers training, technical expertise, and development knowledge to countries across the Global South. South Sudan has been a close partner and has benefited from ITEC training for many years.
The Indian Embassy added, “We wish all four participants success in their training. We look forward to their contributions to South Sudan’s development when they return.”
The programme focuses on building skills that participants can apply in areas such as governance, economic planning, technology, and public service, helping strengthen South Sudan’s national workforce.
