
Yei Commissioner Pays Tribute to Protocol Officer Amos Juma/PHOTO CREDITS: Handout/County Press
(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The Commissioner of Yei River County, Hon. Emmanuel Taban Seme, has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Senior Protocol Officer Amos Juma Clement, describing his passing as a major loss to the county and Central Equatoria State.
In an official condolence message issued on 9 January 2026, the Commissioner said the late Amos Juma Clement was a committed and hardworking public servant who served the county and the state with dedication and professionalism over many years.
Hon. Seme noted that the late officer carried out his duties with a high level of skill and discipline, earning respect from colleagues and leaders alike within the public service in Central Equatoria State.
According to the statement, Amos Juma Clement passed away on Wednesday, 8 January 2026. His death has deeply affected the government and the wider community of Yei River County, where he was well known for his service and conduct.
The Commissioner said the county government stood in solidarity with the bereaved family during this period of grief. He conveyed condolences on behalf of the government of Yei River County and in his personal capacity, recognising the pain faced by the family at this difficult time.
Hon. Seme also extended special sympathies to colleagues of the deceased, particularly those working within the Department of Protocol at the state level. He acknowledged the sense of loss felt by fellow public servants who worked closely with the late officer.
In his message, the Commissioner prayed for comfort and strength for the family, friends and colleagues of Amos Juma Clement. He also asked God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
