(YEI COUNTY) – The Central Equatoria State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment, Hon. Lily Kapuki, officially inaugurated a modern multi-purpose farmers’ centre at Gimunu Boma in Yei town Payam on 27 August 2025.
The centre has been constructed under the Resilience and Agriculture Livelihoods Project Additional Financing (RALP-AF) by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and is designed to support local farmers with training, resources and improved agricultural practices.
Hon. Kapuki highlighted the importance of the facility in promoting local economic growth and self reliance. She noted that the centre is structured to allow the community to manage it according to their specific needs, ensuring long term relevance beyond the initial support provided by the NGO.
