(JUBA) – Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony officially inaugurated the new headquarters of the Ministry of Animal Resources, Fisheries, and Tourism, alongside a fully equipped veterinary clinic, in Juba on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
The State Government Press Unit CESGPU said the event marked a major milestone in the state’s efforts to develop infrastructure for sustainable resource management.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Adil said the new headquarters would provide a productive working environment, strengthen the tourism sector, improve veterinary services and support the livelihoods of farmers, pastoralists and visitors.
He encouraged other state ministers and government commissions with ongoing construction projects to focus on completing their initiatives to ensure visible progress in infrastructure development and institutional reforms.
The governor also called on state officials to deliver timely and effective services, stressing that new constructions and renovations should translate into practical benefits for citizens rather than remain unfinished projects.
State Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries, and Tourism, Alex Lotiyu Elia, described the facility as more than just a building. He said it symbolised the government’s commitment under Governor Adil to improving infrastructure and expanding access to essential services for the people of Central Equatoria.
The new ministry headquarters includes office spaces, a meeting hall, and a fully equipped veterinary clinic. The project has been implemented through a public-private partnership since 2023. Governor Adil reiterated his support for initiatives that bring public services closer to communities and contribute to regional development.
Senior government officials, community leaders and representatives from cultural and entertainment groups attended the inauguration, witnessing the state’s progress in strengthening service delivery and economic development in the animal resources, fisheries and tourism sectors.
