(JUBA) – Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has met Vice President Josephine Lagu Yanga to highlight the urgent need to repair and improve key public schools in Central Equatoria State. The schools identified for renovation include Loka Secondary School in Lainya County and Juba Day Secondary School in Juba. These are historic institutions important for the region’s education.
Governor Adil told the Vice President, “Our priority is to renovate these schools so students can learn in safe and suitable classrooms. Improving these facilities will help our children achieve better results.”
Vice President Lagu said she supports the state’s plans. “The national government will work closely with Central Equatoria to strengthen education,” she said. “We are committed to improving learning conditions and supporting students to get a better future.”
Both leaders also discussed the need to improve health services in the state. Governor Adil said, “Education and health are our main priorities. We want people to see real changes in these services.”

The Office of the State Governor said the meeting shows that both state and national leaders are committed to improving schools. Governor Adil said, “Fixing these historic schools is part of our wider plan to strengthen education across South Sudan.”
