(JUBA CITY) – Hon. David Yau Yau, the Deputy Minister of Information, Communication, Technology and Postal Services, visited Central Equatoria State on Tuesday to meet the newly appointed Governor, H.E. Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel. The courtesy call was also an opportunity to congratulate Governor Mujung on his new role.
Hon. Yau Yau, who is also a prominent political figure from the Greater Pibor Administrative Area, expressed his commitment to strengthening peaceful relations between his region and Central Equatoria State.
During their meeting in Juba, the two leaders discussed the importance of fostering stronger intergovernmental cooperation. Their conversation focused particularly on building peaceful coexistence between neighbouring areas.
Mujung welcomed the gesture and stressed the value of continued dialogue between leadership structures. He noted that open engagement and shared responsibility are essential in managing local disputes and building regional stability.
The Governor also extended his call for broader cooperation with the leadership of Jonglei State. He emphasised that sustainable peace across regions, especially in areas with a history of intercommunal tensions, can only be achieved through an inclusive and well coordinated approach.
