(JUBA) – The Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly, Rt Hon Jemma Nunu Kumba, has returned to Juba after taking part in the 20th meeting of the Bureau of East African Speakers in Kampala, Uganda, where parliamentary leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation within the East African Community.
Rt Hon Kumba said the meeting provided an important space for the region’s Speakers to reflect on matters affecting national parliaments and the wider Community.
She noted that the discussions focused on improving coordination with the East African Legislative Assembly and supporting regional integration, which she described as essential for the future of the Community.
